What a brilliant bike!

The software on this ecu is amazing, very similar to the latest Bmw's and Yamahas. It actively retunes ignition and fueling as you ride.

The trick to tuning this bike is not getting it onto a dyno and tuning it to its limit, it is in resetting the ecus parameters to deliver smooth, crisp throttle response and as much power as the engine can handle at any given point.

Once the base maps are set up, the ecu will add in power, more often than it takes it out.

Dyno figures are one thing, but in the real world, its a lot faster than the figures suggest - it can easily trade punches with a 750.

A few months ago we did an ecu Base flash - we removed its restrictions, reset its target afrs, reset the throttle response in all rider modes and fine tuned its power delivery.

Today, we ran it on the dyno to test and finetune...

The ecu did most of the work for me, with only minor changes to give near perfect hp, torque and fueling.

There is just one restriction that I missed, 6000 to 7500 rpm between 80 and 100% throttle, but I think I have that figured out now.

This is the future of tuning...
